First, I want to know exactly what you’re looking for, and if you have any details in mind. Do you want me to turn you into a beautiful mermaid inspired by the sunset? Do you want me to draw your child as a fairy princess? Or your best friend as a powerful witch? We’ll work together to brainstorm what that looks like, even if you don’t have a clear idea right away.

Next, I’ll put together a moodboard filled with all our collected inspiration, including outfits, colors, photos, and descriptions you’ve sent me, border and decorative elements, character references, etc. I’ll email or message your moodboard to you to make sure I got everything (and add anything if I didn’t).

Once the sketch is completed, I send it your way for your approval. This is the time to give me feedback so I can make changes. Is your hair too dark, or does the face need changing? Let me know! I’ll make revisions and send it back to you until you give me the thumbs up.

Once the sketch is finalized, I add the line art (the outlines), and begin to lay down colors. When the piece is mostly complete, I will send you an updated version and ask how it’s looking.

This is your last chance to tell me anything that needs to be changed. Does a tattoo need adjusting? Is the color of your shirt too dark? Let me know and I’ll make it so!

After I’ve made sure your piece looks exactly how you want it, I’ll send you a digital version and a high-quality printed copy at 8”x10”, so you can hang or gift your new custom work of art and display it proudly however you like.
