Hi! I'm Angie (she/they)

I'm the artist and designer behind Rainbow Coven Designs. My work celebrates diversity, queer joy, radical self-love, magick, and inclusive body positivity. I'm glad you're here!

My Values

  • Magical

As a practicing witch for over 20 years, magic, whimsy, and witchcraft have shaped a good portion of my life. I love drawing witches, magical creatures, and cryptids. Not only is it great fun, it infuses my life with magic - and I hope it does yours, too!

  • Body Positive & Inclusive

I believe all bodies are good bodies and deserve to be celebrated. That's why I do my best to include people of all shapes and sizes, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and physical abilities in my work - because everyone deserves to feel powerful, beautiful, and respected.

  • Queer & Proud

I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and I love to show queer pride and joy in my work. We all deserve to feel loved, accepted, and respected for who we are, and our joy is resistance.

Representation matters

I started drawing "curvy" characters in high school because I didn't see myself represented in...well, anything. I wanted to see someone who looked like me looking sexy, strong, and confident, things I didn't feel myself.

Since then, I've realized how many other people don't see themselves represented positively, which, honestly? is super lame. Every person deserves to see themselves looking and feeling amazing (it's a lot of why I do custom work). I hope you see someone beautiful in my work, and that that someone could be you.

Queer enough

Growing up a genderfluid, pansexual woman who was primarily in relationships with cis men, I've spent a lot of my life feeling not "queer enough." Even though I can "pass" as straight, it's more important than ever to me to show up as a proud, queer adult, particularly for young queer folx. Celebrating my queerness and my community makes me feel joy, and helps me feel connected.

What's in a Name

When I rebranded in 2024, I wanted my name to reflect my values and the type of art I create. "Rainbow" in this case indicates more than just the bright spectrum of color that makes up my art - it represents queerness, but also inclusion of all body types, abilities, gender identities, races and ethnicities, and more. "Coven" is not just for my magical, witchy side, but also because my coven is my crew - the people I love, depend on, cry and laugh with. Rainbow Coven is about being authentically you, accepting and loving yourself exactly as you are, and being accepted and loved exactly as you are by others. As long as you're not a hateful jerk, you're welcome in the Coven. (:
